Don't Touch: ch. 31 pt. 1 [A Jonas Love Story]

CHAPTER 31: Allis day up until noon when she went to see Kevin.

*Allis POV*

I fell asleep last night pretty late and I woke up this morning pretty early. I ate breakfast, showered, was dressed, and watched a few old Disney cartoon all before nine o' clock. Marie came down an hour later and I told her that I was going over to Toms house.
"Why?" she asked, rubbing her eyes.
"What do you mean why? Hes my boyfriend." I looked at her like she wasnt quite all together yet.
"I dont know. I just dont really like him all that much." she replied.
"Oh... Well Im still going. Bye." I waved and walked out the door, grabbing my keys on the way.
After settling myself in the drivers seat of my truck, I started the engine and backed out. Since when didnt Marie approve of Tom? It was just weird. She usually backed me up on everything, and I liked him... why didnt she?
I pulled up to the house and knocked on the door. Tom answered in his pajamas.
"Oh, hey, I didnt expect you so early. Come in." he said and stepped aside.
"Its not that early. Did you just wake up?" I asked as he closed the door.
"Yeah." He yawned and hugged me.
"What is that?" I pushed him off.
"Its the morning." [Haha im sorry I was just thinking of that from the proposal]
"Why dont you go get dressed, okay? Ill just wait here." I suggested. He shrugged.
"Alright, be back in a flash." He went up the stairs and into his room where I heard the door click closed.
With a short sigh I sat on the couch and pulled up my legs. I watched out the window with a blank mind. Well, I wanted it to be blank. I was still thinking of things. Suddenly I heard the front door open and close. I looked and saw Mimah looking back at me.
"How long have you been here?" she asked, only slightly snooty. We were getting better at being civil with each other.
"Just got here." I said and looked back out the window.
"Wheres my brother?" she took off her shoes.
"Upstairs." I answered without facing her. I heard her sigh, annoyed.
"Whats wrong?" she asked and put her hands on her hips. I chuckled once because she looked kind of ridiculous.
"Just thinking." I replied and put my feet back on the ground.
"Is it about my brother?" she threw another question at me.
"Kinda." I responded. She sat down on the chair across the couch and looked up the stairs.
"Tell me I want to know." She leaned forward. I looked at her like she was crazy.
"Uh... well my sister told me she didnt like him." I told her.
"Mhm. I see. And?" she edged.
"Well and... last night." I looked up the stairs.
"Yeah I saw that. That was something. I didnt think that a party could lead to a fight!" Her eyes widened in excitement.
All of a sudden Tom was coming down the stairs. He waved to us.
"Enjoy your morning jog, sister?" he asked.
"Always do." She said. Then she rose from the chair and drifted off to another room. Tom sat down on the open cushion next to me.
"Hi." He said and smiled.
"We need to talk, mister." I turned my whole body to face him.
"About what, missy?" he smirked.
"I dont need sarcasm right now, Tom. I need an explanation." I told him. He sighed. What is with all the sighing lately?
"What do you want an explanation for?" he asked.
"Why did you fight... last night?" I looked him in the eye.
"You mean why did I fight KEVIN last night?" he smirked again and I hit his arm. "Ow!" he yelled.
"Just answer me." I insisted.
"Because he annoyed me and he thought he owned you. You said so yourself that it bothered you." he rubbed his arm while he spoke.
"Yeah I said it bothered me, but I didnt say-"
"That he was pathetic. Yes I know." He cut me off.
"Then why did you say it?" I stood up and he joined me.
"Its not a big deal, babe!" he laughed and put his hands on my shoulders.
"You had no right to say that!" I retaliated and shrugged his hands off. He put his hands over his face and did an annoyed laugh.
'Good' I thought, 'I hope Im annoying you.'
