Kalamazoo Carpenter Chad Miller talks about the realities of working in construction to a group of residents interested in the RCAR Program.

The Road Construction Apprenticeship Readiness (RCAR) program is a 9-week paid training program offers training and jobs kills in the construction industry. RCAR will accept 15 applicants in 2010 who represent racial minorities, women and low-income individuals.

These applicants will be given the tools and skills to be successful in a road construction career. The training in this program also helps prepare these applicants for the realities of working in the construction field.
