Spaying a pregnant cat - a nightmare Part 2

This is almost like a Sectio Caesarea. But these kittens (four of them) are still far too young and could never survive. They are not supposed to do so either. They sleep as deeply as their mother, feel nothing and will die after my injection. This an awful thing to do and it always breaks my heart. But it needs to be done, I know the little ones do not suffer. The mother will have a better future.
The alternativ would be to let her have the kittens but can you imagine what that means....

@dale3858 These three videos, actually the whole one was made in 2006. I did not dare to upload it - and I think I am going to get trouble with the YouTube team - because it is very shocking. It happens very often that pet owners bring their cat for spaying and are not aware that she is pregnant. If the pregnancy is far gone I refuse to do the operation. - In this case it was a wild cat, I did what was best for her.

@dale3858 You really are a good observer!! There was a single hair, a cat hair, that got there through the air. Sometimes a hair sticks to my fingers, I need to wash it off under running water, then I dip my fingers in alcohol and continue. Hairs are most annoying.

It is very sad but you are doing the right thing...I'm sorry that you are the one that has to make these decisions...
