Pioneer AV Receiver (VSX 1020-K): Unboxing and Tour

In this video I take a look at my new home theater power house. Replacing my Pioneer VSX 1018 receiver from a few years ago, this receiver is loaded with 6 HDMI ports, internet connectivity for Internet Radio and iOS remote control, HDMI 3D compatibility, and full iPod and iPhone integration.

Gr8 information. My TV does not have HDMI input. So I will not be able to do HMDI out from receiver to TV. Question is Will I be able to watch video from HDMI output devices connected to this receiver using component video out? Please advice.

OMG. Dude. The additional speaker jacks are for zone 2. Zones, right? You know about zones?

Is the USB port only for the iPod..?? Or can I plug in am external hard drive/thumb drive and play my videos there?

Just purchased this AVR love it problem I am having and it my be my own error , The tv remote turns off the AVR at the same time. Does anyone have any answers. I have a Samsung

Question: Can we connect a 2.1 speaker system to this receiver. I have a bose 2.1 speaker system and I bought this receiver to connect all my input devices. Having trouble figuring out the port to connect the 2.1 Bose PC companion speakers.

i've been looking for a micro av recicver but cannot find any small ones on the market they all seem to be the same large ones. I thought a really cool idea would be an mini av reciever that fits into a pc 5 1/4" drive bay.

I like pioneer receiver, but it is easy to stain, and hard to clean.
