jp soars&the red hot festival jazz montreal: gangster of love. FiJM 2009
Amazing performance, on a $5 guitar!
First time in Montreal, already a local Blues fan favorite.
That band won the IBC blues challenge 2009 in Memphis Tennessee, the best unsignedBlues band, and the Albert King award for best guitar player in the competition.

Nice but if you like this one you should not forget to check out the original version.
And it is not the JOHNNY GUITAR WATSON version from 1963 (which is very good) but the doowop song LOVE BANDIT by the CADETS from the 50's. It is almost the same song like Watson's done in early-COASTERS-style.

Saw him this night last week in the Rum Boogie Cafe in Memphis, TN. Still haven't managed to close back my jaw! Was over on a Blues pilgrimage from Ireland and this guy was a highlight.
