@makelle I'm not sure if he did smoke, but you have to remember, this was the 50's. No athlete would be caught dead shilling tobacco products today

My oh my... the vacuousness and manipulation of corporations then as now. It's all a fiction: bad pet food (i.e. toxic, meat-by-products) and cigarette cancer for desert. The reality is that not all nostalgia is good. I understand it was a better and whiter America.
Nevertheless, a certain 'fiction' was in the works already as aforementioned.
