A pair of weasels at Point Reyes National Seashore were spooked by my passing and got separated, one running off while the other hid in a hole. I held my camera next to the hole and captured this unusual video.
@ulogoni WOOOOOOOOOOOW, and then the weasels were so stressed that they died and all the weasels in their family died of sorrow too, and now all the weasels are dying so they are in extinction...
@georgewebb118 i'm sick and tired about this stupid discussion all over youtube about stoats and weasels, 1st: nobody in america call "stoats" these animals, 2nd: the animals on this video are long tailed weasels (Mustela frenata) you can distinguish them because of their yellow underbellies and white masks, and 3rd: even if they were "stoats" this video was filmed in america so no one will call them like that, the end
Way to harass the wildlife for a good shot. Hopefully you didn't stress them out enough that they abandoned their den. Can't you take a hint with the disturbed rapid calls, bites at the lens or when mom pulls her larger male offspring to safety? Why force your presence when there is obvious stress and they are not enjoying your company?
amazing video. love it :D. but I think that they are stoats because of the black tips on the tails. I am really suprised you could get so close and get such a good video, im jealous.
0:40 for epic laughs :D
