You shouldn't even care about her family life and if her parents care about her. And I saw a good-quality video of her singing "I Miss You" at her house, and she sounded amazing. She was all by herself, and the only instrument played was a guitar.

The quality of this video is horrible, that's why the sound is bad. Go to a high quality video and watch her sing this, it sounds AMAZING. I'm no Miley fan though, I'm more into the Jonas Brothers.
