This is video one in a series of three on toning up and it is intended mainly for women that avoid resistance training out of fear of bulking up. While there are women that have a genetic predisposition for adding more muscle than they may desire, this is very rare. Even they will not be at risk for adding a great deal of muscle without relatively advanced knowledge and intensity levels.

I made these videos for a gym that I train out of on Long Island, Fitness Incentive. They are very basic in nature and more along the lines of general fitness. My editing skills are improving and my objective is to create advanced videos in the future, including some hardcore training videos for those of you on the extreme end of fitness, like myself.

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS Jim. If there's one misconception about fitness I can't stand more than any other is women using the "bulk up" excuse to avoid lifting weights. It's amazing how something like this is such common sense, yet people (guys and girls alike) actually believe what they believe.

  • thank you for posting this. It is outragious how women use this excuse to keep their sedentary lifestyle. That, and the white knights that continue to tell women that visceral Fat is "curvy." No, it is fat. Cardio is good for a cut, but you only burn calories while you're on the treadmill or other equipment. Lifting, combined with a caloric deficit but high protein diet is the best (only) way to achieve the figure you want.

  • I fucking hate when people try to tell me "Lift light weights with a lot of reps and you'll get shredded!!"... okay buddy.

    I wish every fucking gym idiot would take a little look at this video.
