You are right but I gotta say working on a weights gym doesn't really help in parkour. The most effective way to gain strenght for parkour movements is parkour itself :P

@Adrian163263 Is that so? Apologies if I sounded judgmental. I didn't mean to cause any harm. I had been looking through a lot of advice from experienced traceurs, and this was the same advice given to someone I know. I understand what you mean, but I guess the traceurs I got advice from had tried your method but liked training outside better. I suppose it's different for everybody. Again, apologies for any offenses I may have caused, that was thoughtless of me.

I just hope I could become one of your family's member, 3run.

This is definitely one of my favorite 3run videos. Chase, you and your family are insane at parkour/freerunning i just hope I can get as good as you all some day.

There are also traceurs like me who study Sports Science who know the value of a correct workout and workload both indoors and outdoors.
You shouldn't be so quick to judge, and with such words, when there are so many studies and disciplines that see improvement from an overall approach to training both general (strengthening, anaerobic / aerobic work) and specific to the discipline (technique).
Also in my honest opinion never trust "lots of or many people" when making decisions.

@ropincolt16 Honestly speaking, a lot of traceurs discourage training in a gym (as in a weights gym) since its stiff, repetitive and nothing like the outside world and encourage training outside intead. Even better with friends since you can all help each other.
