Echuca is a town north of Melbourne on the boarder between Victoria and New South Wales. It is famous for it's title of the place where 'Meeting of the whistles' happens as the rails come toe to toe with the Mighty Murray River at the Echuca Warf. On the Easter weekend of 2011, Steamrail Victoria operated a set of shuttles around the boarder town of Echuca area with steam locomotive R761 and diesel locomotive T356 for the Echuca and surrounding locals. The train was transfered to Echuca on Friday evening departing Melbourne around 10.30pm. Seen here is T356 leading R761 towards Strathallan out of Echuca with the first shuttle of the day before R761 hauls the return at the same location.
