Ibook g4

This is my new Ibook g4, i bought this off ebay excellent condition.This is a fast mac considering it only has 512 mb ram ,im going to add another 512 of ram in a couple of days It has a 1.33ghz processor ,bluetooth ,extreme airport and a DVD/CDRW ,12" screen.I see why the ibook is still popular they are fast ,compact and Leopard 10.5.8 is faster and more stable than windows 7.Even though i have a Toshiba Qosmio fully loaded with a duo core cpu i stay on the Ibook more.Im going to install a Ibook g3 clear keyboard because they look better to me. Its true... once you go mac you never go back. Youtube videos run very well on camino but my internet was a little slow because of the weekend internet traffic but usually the videos rarely hang up.I'll upload an update video soon.Enjoy!!

The only reason it's more stable is that you probably treat W7 like shit. I haven't had a single problem with any of my installations and it runs like a breeze.

@7Sn1per Wrong,i work on PCs and Macs and i never get viruses on windows and my windows 7 runs fine but not like OSX.Mac OSX is more stable than Windows because you dont have antivirus ,antispyware,programs,updates running in the background.Your talking about installations? Windows run fine when you first. install it but over time it slows down. Macs dont slow down.I'm speaking from experience not an opinion.Macs run and last longer than PCs if they are taken care of.

@7Sn1per Get a Mac im pretty sure you would not want to go back to Windows full time.Granted Windows does have better Movie burning software which is faster.Thats the only thing i use my Windows desktop for is burning movies.

@bobbyz23 I actually happen to be getting a 2009 MacBook to serve as my school computer. I use Windows to play all of my video games. I've had a PC last me many years, but then again it depends on the user. I don't wanna start a flamewar, just saying that Windows runs fine for me and I expect OSX to run at least as well. Although it may be because at most I have my AV and Steam running along with a few nonessential applications. But hey, we all have different experiences.

@7Sn1per Well im responded in that way because you said i treat Windows 7 like shit.Right we all have different experiences..Mine just happen to be a good experience with Macs.People put Macs down usually because they're afraid to try something different,or can't afford one,dont knock nothing until you try it.

It is a Mac just not intel no you cant install a intel processor.It can run Mac software just not Intel Mac software.You can run almost the same software that the intel Macbooks run.

@bobbyz23 Yeah, I was responding to that as if you were my grandmother. She got a Mac because she had this 7 year old laptop I believe which was ridiculously slow and riddled with viruses. However my sister now uses it and the dang thing runs pretty fast. I happened to have a good experience with both OSes. Who could forget about Linux too?
