I was going for a quite exhaust yet I wanted the car to sound like a race car when the cutout was open. have your cake and eat it too if you will. First R&D was with a Supertrapp muffler after the cut-out. It does the job with making things quiet, however it creates too much backpressure so it must be opened in order to go into boost. I will be testing either the stock piping/muffler/tips after the cut-out soon or a Magnaflow turbo muffler. That way I hope to have a similiar sound to the Supertrapp without the backpressure issue.

  • As you said in the description...when it's closed, does it make a big loss of power due of the Y piping of dmh cut-out ? Or it's like a stock exaust with restriction(stock backpressure) or even worse ? I have a mk3 supra 89 turbo so it's pretty similar to your car. thank you !
