This is the same gun from the previous video uploaded just prior to this one, now just going over it "Post-Cleaning."

Not the most exciting video I know, but I figured I'd go ahead and take 10 minutes recording and uploading it since a few of you guys said in the previous video that you wanted me to make another video of my now-clean blaster.

The gun is my BCM 14.5" mid-length carbine with 12" DD Lite rail, aimpoint T-1 optic, DBAL-I2 IR/Visible laser, KAC NT4 suppressor and various magpul accessories.

  • hey man just curious why do you lube the entire BCG, i thought only the 4 rails needed it?

  • @Glockcrazy19 I essentially focus on the entire area of the BCG past the ass end of the firing pin (exposed portion). The side facing the ejection port isn't really important, but there's a good bit of visible lube there because I get several drops in the 3 holes there (not retaining pin hole), getting the gas rings. I lube the shit out of the bolt as well, basically any part at all that's moving.

Also note that I shoot suppressed quite often, which EATS the hell out of lube.

  • @Glockcrazy19 Also, if I know I'm gonna be shooting only suppressed and shooting high volumes of ammo, the entire upper is practically doused in lube. Even then, I've got to most likely reapply after around 500 rounds, if that. Shooting suppressed (with a DI gun) is just really hard on the gun. It's crazy looking at my bolt and upper after a night of shooting and the entire thing is dry and pasty!

  • hey what buffer and spring you use?

  • @DennyDucet H1 buffer and standard mil-spec carbine length spring from BCM.

  • What do you think of the nickel boron bolt and carriers?

  • @semiautoriflelover1 Don't use them so don't know much about 'em

  • @RetreatHell How is that paint holding up? I don't know if you have any experience with kryloning guns, but the paint looks good compared to krylon for how many rounds you have put through it. Have you had to touch it up or repaint it at all? I'm looking to paint my gun pretty soon and want something that will last a little longer than krylon. Awesome paint job by the way.

  • How often do you shoot steel cased ammo in your rifles?

  • Great job with the cleaning - weapon looks great! Did you remove the trigger group to clean the lower or did you just work around it?
