Cristin Chenoweth's Emmy win on Sunday night proved overwhelming for the star - the Pushing Daisies actress was treated by paramedics backstage for a crippling migraine.

The 41 year old was awarded the prize for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy and fought back tears as she accepted the statuette.

Once backstage at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater, Chenoweth was hit with a painful headache and nausea and was forced to lie down as medical assistance was summoned.

Medics gave the actress a thorough check - and her publicist Meghan Prophet says Chenoweth is now "feeling better" and "doing fine" following the health scare.

  • When she says thank you when she first gets up there, she sounds more like a little kid than I've ever heard her! :)

  • Boy, what a time for her vertigo to hit her! :( She's so sweet, though, all choked up.

  • It is funny that she does sound like a little kid when sh talks, because when she sings. man, 4 octaves......ala Callas, it is amazing. Check out her singing in one of the Kennedy Center Honors to Julie Andrews doing 'Spoonful of Sugar'...it will blow your socks off. She is so endearing.

  • she's like a little girl!! haha!

  • I was jumping up and down when she got the Emmy. I was so happy for her. I agree Tina probably told her to be happy. I hope Tina puts Kristin on 30 Rock.

  • You can tell Tina Fey was like 'Oh honey, it's not a bad thing you know...get a grip girl!'

  • Was this one of her famous Meniere's Episode? (I mean the health scare)
