The Amitofo Care Centre (ACC) from Malawi at Buddhist Maha Vihara(BMV), Brickfields, KL.

ACC, comprising 21 children aged between 10 anf 14, were in Malaysia for a series of Shaolin Kungfu demonstrations to raise funds.

The demonstrations were held in eight states Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Pahang, Malacca and Johor and the group, led by the Venerable Hui Li, also visited Singapore to garner support for their cause in providing health care and education.

The visitors came with two Chinese martial arts mentors, a Chinese language teacher, a photographer and video cameraman. EDUWIS Selangor Orphanage Association organised the demonstrations.

Considering that they have just been learning the moves for the past two years, the spectators were thrilled with their aptitude in combining local music and dance to execute the Chinese martial arts and in between, local wushu exponents and rhythmic gymnasts also entertained the guests with their routines.
