Wonderful thanks!

In the 50s, dishwashers were routinely combined with garbage disposals (pioneered by GE in 1948) and kitchen sinks in so-called "electric sinks," which were convenient at the time, but were real buggers to repair when the dishwasher or disposal broke down...

Don't believe this. I went to the store and they said the Westinghouse dishwasher does not exist. I knew it was too futuristic to be real. ... thanks for this. may i ask, on what format did you have this original footage, and how did you move it to youtube? and, do you have more gems?

Or maybe the announcer had made a quick run to the can and locked himself out of the booth by the time the "Next Week" promo went out.

I believe the announcer failed to respond to his "cue" when the time came to announce "next week's production"....possibly something wrong with his mike, maybe......
If this production DID run overtime, why was there time for "full credits", 'byrd'?

I'm pretty sure there was supposed to be an announcer speaking over the slides for "next week's show"- and I believe it was supposed to go like this-
"Next week, 'STUDIO ONE' will present 'The Doctor's Wife', a drama of love and devotion, starring June Lockhart, Mary Sinclair, and John Dall. That's next week...on 'STUDIO ONE'.". During this period, Westinghouse sponsored CBS' political debate program, "PICK THE WINNER", until the November 1952 election.

I thought so, too. Maybe "The Square Peg" ran a bit over time?
