The Top 10 BEST Beers of 2011

Well here it is - the list you've all been waiting for: the Top 10 BEST Beers that I reviewed in 2011! And what a year it was! I gave out more 10's and more 9's this year than any other year! In fact, I gave out a record-breaking eight 10's! That made choosing the two best 9's rather difficult. I'm still not sure if I chose the best ones and put them in the "correct" order!

Only beers that were reviewed for the first time on an episode of "Chad'z Beer Reviews" during calender year 2011 were eligible. Re-reviews weren't eligible (which is why you won't see Pliny on this list). This isn't limited to beers released in 2011, either. Just, of all the beers I reviewed in 2011 (about 270 of them), these are the 10 best I had. For a better explanation of why these products are so good, please watch the individual reviews, as these clips are only meant to be overly succinct re-caps.

NOTE: I didn't do an "honorable mentions" list this year because there were about 30 beers that scored a 9 and it would defeat the purpose of having a "runners up" list with that many runners up!

Is that for all the beer or just this one?

@GoliathAngelus depends on the beer. High alcohol beers and/or bottle conditioned beers can be cellared for a while. Some beers get better with cellaring. You don't want to age something like a Bud Light, though.

Don't know yet if I'm going to do a list of my top 10 for 2011, but we're both agreed on our #1 pick. That damn KBS is a mind-blower. Happy New Year, Chad. Hopefully we'll both run into even better beers this year.

I live out near Kansas City in Fayetteville, AR (although im actually from near Albany where you are!) and Boulevard is very very popular here. I especially like it cause Im a big wheat and amber beer guy and they brew some of the best. What would you recommend as some great quality amber and wheats that have good sweet malty flavor but arent without a mild bitter finish? I miss Saranac from back home cause they dont have it here! BTW Ron Paul 2012!!!
