Just to let you know: I know they had NO SCIENCE as no one could ever see "canals" on Mars. However as mentioned in my previous statment, some did add some science info into the film.

Well they at lest included the largest telescope at that time :).
There is one thing about some of the SF films of that time---they did try to incorp some "science" into the movie--EX: THEM when the scientist shows a film about ant behavior to a bunch of mil and pol types in wash. Also BEAST FROM 20,000F...the blood makes the troops sick
