This is a powerful scene from the last samurai. We are all seeking meaning to our lives. That can only be found through the cultivation of the gifts The Creator has put within. This is where peace of mind and contentment of heart can be found; heaven. Thus, the Kingdom Of Heaven is within (Lk 17:21)

  • And how can I find my gift? I have no idea

  • @Nnovata - If you did not need money, what would you do? Outside of things taught within the society. Outside of partying, fornicating, and watching tv, what does your soul call for? You might have to go into your childhood, before society contaminated you through school, religion, and tv, to find what lit your heart and soul. You are already the gift, so there is nothing to learn. All you have to do is unlearn the crap this wold teaches for truth, and let you shine.

  • @TheUnitedForum Well said, my friend.

  • @TheUnitedForum

that was amazing. i try to tell people this everyday.

  • @sadlobster1 Again I completely agree with you. If only I could live a life like this..

  • it's cuz we're asian =p

  • @sadlobster1

I was born and live in the city. Still the calm and quite nature is what I really appreciate.

  • @Speirs90 So would I, you can't find too much of the beauty feudal Japan had in today's world anymore. Now; the world is filled with so much concrete streets, unnecessarily tall buildings and dangerously fast cars.

Like Merlin said in the Sword in the Stone; the modern age is just "one, big, modern mess" of things. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm complaining but as a man born in the countryside of the U.S., I find the city to be dirty, too crowded and too noisy

  • If I could go to any place and time. This would be it. The nature is beyond anything.

  • @bleushift how do you know that for sure? These kinds of movies romanticize the idea of what it was really like to be a samurai.
