The Juilliard String Quartet opened our chamber concert series on Monday, October 18, 2010. Here they are rehearsing in the Athenaeum's Main Gallery just before their second set. Nick Eanet (first violin) and Ronald Copes (second violin) in the gallery. Samuel Rhodes (viola) in the foyer.

The paintings in the background are part of a joint exhibition "Appellations" by Gail Roberts and Sondra Sherman, on view September 25 through November 6, 2010.

For more information on the Athenaeum's 2010-2011 chamber concert season, go to www.ljathenaeum.org/chamberconcerts. To purchase tickets, call the box office at 858.454.5872.
