Sleepy Hollow Tavern

This is a short tribute to the Hollow Tavern near Ligonier, PA along the Lincoln Highway. Included is a short shot of the building before it burned followed by several shots of the burned structure.

UPDATE: The Hollow Tavern is now in the process of selective demolition and reconstruction. It will be rebuilt to look like the original log inn.

@booman1142 Just let it burn down? I think a lot was done by all the firemen there to try and save it on a wintery crappy night. The location isn't condusive to good fire fighting. Water had to be pumped from the creek. I was there all night with 200 other guys trying to save an empty building. Ya Jack Wagon

is this post for real...drive by it everyday hoping it will live again. It has a pulse..only want to get one stone from the wall.....but the wall remains as does the windows set to the side.....need to know "What gives?"

"Places that we hold dear"....Local You Tube directors should run with this title! Keep the videos short and sweet,add music,add effects, or whatever. I'll be waiting for the first one! I'll try to start mine soon.

It also shows how we need to stop the car, get out and enjoy and film the places that we hold dear, do it now before they are gone people and places because nothing is ment to last and the next day is a maybe. Good job Caclandmedia for putting this one together.

This video captures some of the last images that we will ever see of the historic Hollow tavern. Unfortunately this video shows how an arsonist can destroy a landmark that could have been enjoyed by us and generations to come. I hope the person who did this is brought to justice soon! I think everyone did like it better when it was the Sleepy Hollow. This video was nice work...Thanks.
