Not everyone has that luxury. I have a friend in Michigan who can't get Tastykakes where he lives.
I have to bring a couple boxes of Butterscotch Krimpets out to him when I attend the annual car club gathering that I organize in the little town of Hell, Michigan.
By the way, I also bring a couple of cases of Yuenglings out there, because another friend from Oklahoma can't get that beer where he lives.
They used to be made with butter, now they're riddled with trans fats.
I don't know how they get away with putting hydrogenated oil 2nd or 3rd on the ingredients list and calling it "saturated fat" and 0 grams of trans fat.
Time to give regulatory agencies their teeth back.
My Uncle, when he was a young man worked at tastykake. This was probably the early 50's. Since working there, and to this very day he refuses to eat a tastykake because of the things he saw in that plant. He has also never told anyone what things he would see
Despite that I still eat tastykakes. I assume, and hope whatever was so bad (probably rats and/or bugs in contact with food) to turn him off the product forever back then in the 50's, nolonger exists in todays more stick health code laws.
I live in North Carolina and I can't get Tastykakes.

You can go directly to tastykake[dot]com or call 800-33-TASTY to order directly from Tasty Baking Co. in north Philly.
They are moving most of their operations to the old Navy Yard in South Philly in the next year or two, though.
Too bad Tasty Baking Co. didn't buy this commercial - it's a top-quality spot, definitely worthy of Tasty Baking's high standards.
