  • Nope since the update it supports 7.1(DTS-HD Master Audio)&(Dolby True HD)

  • @mikeproviddance *facepalm* Dots and points (in punctuation) are the exact same fucking thing.

It's like bitching at a British-man for saying full stop instead of period.

  • "Face my naked butt" Only a moron would think dots and points are the same without having read much and understood much about the right way things are termed and refferred to. Amateurish.

  • @FCDustin No its not about comparisons it’s a about film soundtrack perseveration of the original theatrical presentation because the people are suckers for originals and not some lousy fake 7.1 re-mix which I have listened too and I swear I was close to snapping the disc in half spiting on it and mailing it to Paramount Pictures for the dire vile disgrace that conning me and calling STAR TREK original mixes LOL they are not! Because I have the laserdiscs to prove it!

  • That is not quite true or the home stereo was available on laserdisc the early models with analogue playback then VHS linear with Dolby B type noise reduction. Then Hi-Fi stereo came about but laserdisc had since gone digital with PCM sounded miles better than VHS Hi-Fi which was far too noisy. Then DVD came about and so on and here we are with bluray not all that perfect until another format comes around Film is still the best and original medium since film was born in the late 19th century.

  • @EmpireLS56KW As a sound designer who works in 7.1 I can assure you it is very possible to get a full 360 degree surround image. We do not assign sounds directly to specific speakers - we can pan sound between speaker boxes as well. If your 7.1 kit is properly configured and you have a decoder that's worth a damn, it's as real as it gets.

But obviously a cinematic earthquake is not equivalent to a real earthquake. But modern 7.1 is leaps ahead of Sensurround - there's no comparison.

  • It's 5 point 1, not 5 dot one. Get your terminologies right. Gosh where do you people start changing the correct terminologies of audio into your own lingo.

  • When I was younger, I had a crappy little Palsonic (yes, PALSONIC, not PANASONIC) and I had some cheapo "Jazz Speakers" speakers which plug into the analog 3.5mm jack on MP3 players. So what I did was hook those speakers up into the headphone out of my TV and that started me on the path of slowly building up a budget BEDROOM theatre system :)

Pawn Brokers (like Cash Converters here in Australia) are a great place to pick up decent older speakers for next to nothing :)

  • @Cptnstrfsh Nothing in life is free…

  • Nice vid!

  • You need to fix your website. I signed up for the "FREE" course and it wasn't there after I gave you my email. Please advise me of how I can view the course. If there really is one....
