I use a KB37 with my eee pc 900 without any problems. No percetible latency, no clicks. 256 Bits Buffer Size. I play the guitar, song and use a software synth at the same time.
Also heavy synths as absynth 4 are working pretty good (there are some sounds that produce clicks because they use long reverbs and that stuff. But it's not a big issue, just omit these sounds :-).
Even Guitar rig 3 and Amplitube 2 are working! But like absynth, there are sounds that are just too cpu consuming.
I'd say, this is the cheapest and most flexible way to make music.

  • great setup!

  • so.. it have synth sounds? or i have tu use it with a VST plugins?? hope you can help, thanks, good video!!

  • I'm experiencing clicks and drop outs with my toneport ux8. And I've tried using 256 bits :( If I go the other way I get too much latency. I'm using a dell inspiron 1545 3GB ram

  • @musicmastertom92 This piece of hardware was made with intermediate recording in mind, so they are assuming you have a recording host with your own synth sounds

  • @Mc66654 how do you get/use syntrh sounds? its a midi keyboard, shouldnt it it have sum?

  • @jarelloo does the kb37 have midi drum programs?

  • 4:50 sounds like the start to undisclosed desires live intro!

  • is it true that the keys on this thing breaks easily? i'm planning to get one! thanks!

  • you could have used the mirror to show the rear connections area... :) Nice Video

  • Thank you for your video. It has been very helpful. I'm finding myself in a position where I need to choose between the Tone Port UX2 and the KB37.
