Also, Alessa didn't die. She was left in the hospital to, because everyone was scared of how she looked. The skinny, unhealthy looking one was the dark side of Alessa, which came after the burning because Alessa's heart was darkened. Sharron didn't get burned but they attempted too, before Rose (her adopted mother) saved her and helped Alessa get revenge

Her mother didn't know what to do so the church fanitic Christabelle said they could 'clense her soul' so her mother went along with it.
