@dieseldog00 The only thing I can figure is that after the election Gore figured out the fix was in and there was nothing he could do about it. As for the campaign proper: I think he simply underestimated GWB and didn't take the campaign seriously enough. Re: Obama: I think you're being a bit too harsh calling him a DINO. Getting rid of DADT and ignoring the DOMA are pretty progressive ideas, but I agree he too should fight harder.

@kaysandesses It is beyond me why he didn't stand up to the Rethuglicans when the Presidency was on the line. We would have saved billions of dollars and thousands of American soldiers' lives had he done what he needed to do. Now we have this DINO in the White House who extends all the onerous Bush policies like Gitmo and warrantless wiretapping and gives everything else away to the Repukes in Congress. I will vote Green or Progressive in 2012, not Obama again.
