A surprise encounter with a distinctive liveried train. It was the Hapa-Ahmedabad Intercity Exp. at Surendranagar Jn., sporting a soothing blue-cream livery. IR had done well to preserve the uniformity of the rake. At that time, this livery could be seen on a few other trains from Ahmedabad including the Karnavati Exp.

  • hmm this is d original karnavti livery

  • @ng111gala Yes! In fact, some MG trains from ADI also had this livery. Do a search on 'parallel mg and bg trains'.

  • 20 years ago we had such good livery! What's wrong with IR today?

  • @rajnikantsharma I think they have lost all aesthetic sense! Look at the ugly Duronto livery. In comparison, the Garib Rath livery is much more eye-catching.

And isn't it funny that the Duronto has similar colors to the GR? I wish they had used professionals (even within IR) to get the job done for the Durontos rather than some amateur artistes from Mamata's home town.
