The 45 seems like it a bit warped

@wmbrown6 168 seconds times 45/33.3333 is 227 seconds or 3 minutes 47 seconds. I'll bet they counted the lead in, lead out and a little time sitting on the center groove. Counting on that would make a DJ look a bit sloppy.

Based on the typefaces used on the label copy, this pressing may've been from Dixie Record Pressing in Nashville - these fonts were on some 1972-era Motown (and subsidiary) 45's. The mastering was done by Monument Recording Studios in Nashville. Oh, and the time (I measured it) was indeed actually 2:48. They were probably counting the time as if this were played at 33⅓ instead of 45 RPM.

Sounds a bit off-centered, but wonderful otherwise!

released in australia on young blodd records
One of my favorite instrumentals of the early 70's. I always wondered where that building on the label is.

Good question about the Mega Records building. They were headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., so if anyone knows anything about this building, please comment!
