Somewhere between the greed for money and sound judgment, the legends of country music were tossed aside for the outlandish sound they call country music today.

  • Beautiful steel work!1 Any body ever hear of a steel player named Jerry Kennedy?

  • Listen to Jean Shepard"s version, everybody, if you want to hear the best ... once again.

  • Hank was a great entertainer, in the great golden era of real country music, not to be confused with "modern country"

  • I believe it's Jerry too...

  • @pro3tlb I think that is Jerry Byrd, recorded in the mid 1960s. Kayton didn't record with Hank till about 1970.

  • I have 29 CD's with his great sounds. I have loved his music for 50 years

  • Hank `s music will live forever !

  • So true! Hank Snow was always precise and chose the very best band members. He is quick to point out in his autobiography how much of his sucess he owes to the top musicians in his band. How they added to his distinctive sound. The more i listen to him the more I appreciate him! I am sorry to say I rather took him for granted when he was still alive, he was so

often in the charts, but since he's gone I realise what a giant he was.

  • Kayton Roberts doing his magic on that old Fender Stringmaster steel guitar.

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs written, Kitty Wells is known for the hit but dear old Hank Snow does a great version too. He was a master of his craft.
