The small Kansas town of Greensburg was devastated by an EF-5 tornado on May 4, 2007. The President ordered federal aid to help the community respond to and recover from the effects of the disaster. FEMA delivered immediate assistance and committed resources to provide temporary housing and long-term planning so that the community could stay near their school and their jobs as the rebuilt.
