Gay was the "real" love in ancient rome and greece, which makes it's easier to find homosexual antiques there than anywhere else, if I remember what my religion teacher taught me : Pand many of the greeks gods and heros had same-sex relationships

Good point. O.o What's funny, is my extremely religious grandma was visiting, and she knows I'm extremely accepting to everyone, and there were two guys on the street that kissed and she went "OMG EW WAS THAT TWO GUYS?" And I went "OMG WAS IT? HOW CUTE. I WANNA BE THEIR BEST FRIEND." And then she shut up. :D

my grandma used to be homophobic but then i told her i was lesbian and she still loves me and even shows love towards other homosexuals. which is awesome because she's super religious and Mexican(which means she had strong opinions to begin with). how can you tell someone you have loved their entire life you don't love them anymore because they choose to love someone... you don't, she didn't and God already knew.

@imdaprince2 of course people have to follow rules. all people, regardless of sexuality, gender, sex, religious believes or nationality. if you live in what can be considered society or community (since humans are social beings, you just do.) you have to follow certain rules. but these rules are subject to the society you live in. and you cannot cling to rules made for a society which in this form does not exist anymore. our society is different now from when the bible was written.

and if you take leviticus literally, you can sell your daughter into slavery, are not allowed to wear clothes made of mixed fabrics, eat shellfish ans many other funny things, nowadays no one would think of following. if your daughter is not a virgin on her wedding day, she shall be taken to her fathers house and stoned to death. mmmhm.

when reading the bible, or any "holy" scripture, you have to keep the historical context in mind.

@imdaprince2 nope. the bible does not say "homosexuality", because when it was written, there was no concept of homosexuality. or heterosexuality, for that matter. those words didn't exist.

plus, abomination nowadays means something different from what it meant in those days. then it simply meant something that wasn't custom. just like in romans when paul says natural and unnatural, he means customary and uncustomary.
