More pictures of the demolition of the Co-Op Hall Nuneaton, plus some other at risk buildings situated nearby. Is there something we should know here? Apologies for sound quality, it was fine on original file, this is second attempt.

  • The Kingsholmes still there. Its fell even more into disrepair though.

  • The ringroad effectively annexed this building. After that, its future was zilch. Criminal to demolish such an imposing deco building.

  • Hi John, Terrible shame. Has the Nags now gone as per comments below? Used to play there frequently as Jeepster, Maverick (not that one) & Stormin' Normans. Great venue. And many thanks for finally getting the Kats Vids on. Fantastic to see them again... Jeff (Bass)

  • I live in nearby Solihull but allways remembered this building fondly when passing through Nuneaton. Its a total disgrace that this building was demolished, So many famous bands played there in it's former days and i can imagine it will be missed by the locals. I notice a small plaque has been placed on the new site to commemorate the previous bulding, Its an odvious sign of guilt on behalf of the council and shame on them. Does anybody know whats happened to the Entertainment exchange?

  • A scandalous loss. Nuneaton loses a unique and historical building, for a faceless supermarket, and they call this 'development'?

  • Best Dance hall

  • I know House of Laser was shite but that was a bit harsh.

  • ill cry if they pull the nags down best memories ever there

  • by the way

the comment below wasnt from me :D

it was my sister pmsl!! :L x

  • What will Nuneaton have left at this rate???......The Nags Head is coming down next from what I have heard.

If I had the money I would renovate the Kingsholme pub as it is where I met my husband, 16 years ago. It has great rooms and could be stunning if given some tender loving care. Ok pubs aren't in such great demand now, but a restaurant would serve Nuneaton well. Eateries are all outside of the town other than takeaways...bring back trade to the centre.
