As the moon broke the horizon, it was a beautiful, vibrant hue of deep reddish-orange. Every 18-20 years, the moon is at its closest point to the earth, which is where the name super moon comes from.

This is the second super moon i've seen. The first one was when i was 5 yrs old and grandma was in her gown and her teeth fell out, She picked it up and scar me for life!.

I don't understand what a supermoon is... Last night, as I was traveling home, the moon seemed so much bigger and brighter then usual. It was so beautiful! How does that happen? @_@

@Purly Every 18-20 years, the moon is at its closest point to the earth. It appears larger and brighter in the sky which is where the name super moon comes from.

@Purly It will still be pretty full this evening. You should still get a good view as long as clouds are not in the way.

However, in Singapore, the moon's size was no different from before even though it was definitely brighter.

@Clmkx its a super moon its alot bigger and brighter than any other moon because its closer to the earth

@tjw1963 this was the FIRST super moon i've ever seen. i was in maine for a hockey tournament, and it was amazing.

WOOO its so cool!!! I didnt get to see it but if you skip he video the moon moves REALLY fast.. and if you look carefully without skipping you can see the moon slowly move.. its ssoooo cool! and you can also see the moon slowly change its color back to its normal grey... so cool
