I'm a 21 year old french student. I had never heard of Cesaria Evora before her death was reported by the news papers. Reading the article I thought that this black woman, always staging barefoot, helping the poor, playing World music wasn't my taste... i thought it was a commercial thing, she's just too much of a lovable character, like a female Louis Armstrong.
Still i gave a try, i went to listen SODADE... now i listen Cesaria EVORA every day.
