Mmmmh, it really depends...
First, it can be uncomfortable for some women to put their arm around your neck (exemple short woman and tall guy. It can also be a health condition).
Second it can be a style for some people who say this is "Tango de Salon" and woman arm should be in this position and it's not negotiable (I personnaly prefer milongueras :) ).
What I have experienced so far is that skilled women don't block your right arm with this new trend, it's totally free

I just can't understand why woman don't put their arms up around the guys neck. I really don't like this new trend as it binds the guys right arm and sure doesn't look as good.
