I love how you edited this just right to show the duty, honor, and love not only for a country but a family and the courage needed to leave a home a kingdom and a legacy. This happened so many times in so many ways throught human history,..thru ages and wars alike. Good job.

Very romantic point of view for Spartan marriages we can see in this movie - and so untrue - most of the Spartan warriors were in homosexual relationships to strenghten their defence abilities (you want to fight more fiercely to protect your loved one) and they rather had to sneak out from the garrison to their wifes. Spartans life was war and army. And Sparta, of course.
