The Eagle and Concorde were awesome cars. I ran mine back in the late 80's with Snow Tires - It was unstoppable. Now - the new SX4 is even better.

nice. I use to be a amc mechanic.

@smithdsmit I agree it could have made some cash but I guess they rather score the corporate and other accounts that AMC gained revenue from and put people out of work just to put more coin in their pocket. Then they bring out "Eagle" selling halfway Mitsubishi's that were terrible heaps. The Eagle Talon was the only good thing to come from "Eagle" but its still just a re-badged Eclipse.

@avm316 Its a shame chrysler bought out amc and then let it die after promising thousands of auto workers jobs.amc was a great car chrysler sucks.I wish there had been a bailout for amc back then. they actually would have used the money wisely and saved the company and thousands of jobs.what has chrysler and gm done with the money. seems to me like they wasted it because they are building cars that arent even as good as amc did with 40 yr old technology
turn down the fast idle screw on the carb.,also change the choke themostat.

@Patthesoundguy Thanks. I can't wait to start driving it again the trans started leaking massively from the torque converter, and the carb badly needed a rebuild and adjustment. I picked up a Camaro to drive while wrenching on the AMC and got a little distracted by that V8. I'm wrenching on the AMC now and its almost ready to hit the streets again.
