You are NOT required to have a SSN and the SS ACT states this very clearly, it is voluntarily. You are not a state or federal government employee, therefore you are not obligated to have a SSN!
Cancel it and say goodbye to your obligation to all those silly statues such as ohhh no smoking marijuana, needing a driver's license etc.
