@bigman1225 not only did he know the butthole surfers, he recorded with them! and they were friends who helped get daniel "discovered" by the masses.

Ha ha ha ... y'all all sound like idiots (except pukeonmyshoe55), "I looove Daniel Johnston!" "You're ruining a perfectly good Surfers song!" I'm hugely into both. I've seen both live. Own everything worth owning for years. They're from the same territory, hung out a bit, and yeah, they knew each other. WTFever. The weird part is that when Daniel Johnston covers the Butthole Surfers, it almost sounds like early SCRATCH ACID (but without Rey Washam drums).
