Do you trust your children around gay men/women?

I personally don't think it should matter. a bad person is a bad person no matter WHAT their sexuality is. But there are some out there with opposite opinions. Please share?

i think that it a persons sexuality doesnt represent the way the act towards kids. i would have no problem leaving my son or daught with a gay, lesbian, or bisexual man or woman. in reference to a pedophile, that is a totally different story, but a persons sexuality doesnt make em pedophiles. this is a very hard question to explain typing! lol

I'm very comfortable leaving my children around my gay friends. NO problemo! Now if there's someone that is shady in terms of their relationships with children ie pedophile...NOT A CHANCE! If I even feel uncomfortable around someone who has been looked at as being a pedophile...it's just not worth it to misjudge the situation.

and that is a great way to look at the situation.  But I know several people that won't even entertain the thought of leaving their children around gay/lesbians simply because of their sexuality.

@TheLipzShow Gay=sexually attracted to someone they cannot reproduce with...so the purpose of gay relationships are based on sex without an outcome of reproduction....so basically gays only purpose is just sex....they do not enter any sexual relationships with the goal of a life-long monogamous relationship....Thats not to say all hetero-sex relationships are based on commitment at all...I would leave my kids with anyone I trusted, and I have trustworthy gay friends...

that is the biggest misconception associated with mainly gay men, that we are all pedophiles & child molesters that is far from the truth, I think it's very safe to leave your children with men, that's like a question we were asked in psychology would you rather leave your kids with a gay couple or a someone who was on drugs.... the gay couple will always come out as the better choice
