As it says on the tin - A review of the ADJ Profile Panel - A great little unit that packs a punch with its brightness - I bought mine from www.djkit.com along with a arriba AC130 lighting bag to keep it in.

  • Hey, Mr. Pridders. You seem legit, so I wanted to ask you, say we were going to make a drum riser with fiberglass grating serving as the platform the drums sit on. What if were to mount one or two of the lights beneath it to sort of serve as a back light, shining upwards and through the grating beneath the drummer. Would we get a nice, shattered effect as it came out- or would it look like crap?

    Thanks

  • @12ealDeal - Sounds like a great Idea - I think you'd only need 1 of these to uplight the drummer though - Also be careful about the angle you set the profile panel at because it is really really bright close up and you'll just LED Blind your drummer if angled into his eyes - he'll just end up blinking dots!!!!

  • I honestly thought it was an LCD when I saw it up on the rig there, massive light.

Are you going to use it on the rig or for uplighting, mainly?

  • @Maxsdiscos

Max - hardly massive is it? 42cm across, a little bigger than a standard ruler - It's being out on the new micro-rig as a crowd wash - I won't be using it as Disco lighting 'effect' as such

  • I am liking this product but also the price point of it. Great way to wash the dance floor, might put this on my list of things to buy. Great review and video.

  • @pridders Maybe the jack plug is not for a remote, but for audio. In that way it will be sound controlled ;)

  • thanks for a cool video

  • Thanks for the great review. Were you able to resolve the sound to light issue. I just got a couple of these tried them out last night. I like the A24 in build program the best as it cycles through all of the effects. Like you I found that on this program the effects cycle through themselves without any sound. I would think that it would only do that when there is sound. But then again, I have not tested these with music. Were you able to resolve the isssue? Thanks again! Cheers.

  • @pridders Thanks for the reply! I really appreciate it. I'll give is a shot. To all the drummers looking to try this: grating is very hard to find. I got an estimate from a commercial grade metal warehouse set at 1,197.76$ for two 8X5 foot panels!!! 0_0 The light is the cheapest part.

    Thanks Mr. Pridders!

  • Good review Pridders. Just about to buy two, so that your rig will look nearly the same as mine. You just need to get a decent booth. :-P Oh and I'm paying £75 each...

  • Cool.
