@PESTinUK cheers for answering my questions
-
Sorry for the delay in replying. I've only just realised that I hadn't.
CM is more interesting and is the only "skill" we have left as drivers, but ATO is nice for when you are tired. 8o)

This is tunnel section, but counts as open section for the CM driving rules. This is the only chance we get to drive ourselves in the tunnels regularly.

@PESTinUK What about between Leytonstone and Newbury Park where does this fall under?

I would love to be a driver on the Central line is it a nice line to work on? How do you get a job with LU i was told you genrally had to be a station assistant then you may get promoted to be a driver is this true?

The Central Line is a good line to work on. It has a nice balance between open and tunnel sections. You can apply to become a driver, but it's not often that they have vacancies. If this is the case, then Station Assistant is a good way to start with the company, then you can apply for a driver's job, and at least that way you will get on the waiting list.

Is the Ealing Broadway branch ATO? because i have looked on Central line ATO instalation dates and it said ATO ealing Broadway withdrawn 2002.

@thetubefan11
ATO working was suspended into Ealing Broadway several years ago (could have been around 2002) after a train went past the stopping mark. (the next stop is the buffers and a concrete block). It was probably a year or more before it was re-instated.

I do like ATO but I am not a big fan of the Rapid full power and braking of ATO. I love trains and I would love to be a driver one day on the Underground but are all lines going ATO eventually?

@thetubefan11
I don't like the last-minute braking either, nor the way it accelerates up to red signals.
I expect they will all go ATO eventually, but it will cost billions to implement it, and will be especially hard where different lines share tracks. (eg. District, Circle and H&C.)
