There is always going to be people that get the pain meds to sell them.however, the DEA then cracks down and scares the doctors hence screwing over all the people who really need their pain meds. It's totally unfair.Doctors also put you in a bad position when they give you say 6 doses a day, then they give you something slightly stronger & cut you down to 4 doses a day. It's a damn joke.

thank you so much for your words i deal with the same issue and they are forcing their will upon me and i dont want surgery ,its against my religion to mutilate my body and they send me home with no medicine and slander me to other doctors just out of spite,i have to buy my medication from the black market, look at what there doing to me putting me into breaking the law,it almost seems thats what their counting on,my fight continues for relief,i am thinking about leaving america permanantly.

@axollot It is against the law in Texas they will put you in jail. Texas is a prison state and love to execute people even the mentally ill and want to assest pain doctors to them pain doctors are nothing but pushers with pens and their clinics are just pill mills

@JstNEarthling I have tried it and it does help the pain but I just cannot function on it-it clouds my mind too much and I can't think right. I like the oxycotin because it does not do that to my mind or thinking . It just controls the pain. People when oxycotin is given by a doctor you do not get high as it is given in low doses and increased over time. Unfortunatly some sell and others buy if off the street and take a large dose (then chew it up) without being accustom to it and drop dead.

Australia too! I'm a duel citizen & lived a large part of my life there during early days of PM. Then a car accident here messed me up for life - and the abuse one goes thru for basic medical care in the US is NUTS! BTW, my doc prescribes me methadone w/oxycodone 4 breakthru - it works. I asked him about the receptors @tt he said I didnt have to worry because I dont use heroin. This combo of meds has worked fine for close 2 a yr went on methadone when insurance refused 2 pay for OC due 2 cost!

Find a doc that will over look mj use. Its not against the law (at least in FL) no matter what they say to prescribe opiates if you test poz for MJ. The law allows for the doctor to decide if they are comfortable prescribing despite poz test for MJ. I get randomly tested at my pain clinic. His #1 concern is making sure meds are in system& no lethal illegal substances. Been in your situation tho it SUCKS lost a dr suddenly a yr ago & went thru with drawls b4 finding new doc.

well said on this video
I have documented legitimate chronic pain and am on social security for it. My last doctor was arrested and the doctor prior to that left the practice of pain due to threats by the DEA to take his license. This is the same mentality that wants to take all Americans guns away because of crime. The news media is nothing but a propaganda machine for them.

@Thundralight First you really need to get on medical marijuana if it's in your state. This really will help a lot to alleviate pain. Then, the only thing you can do is get ahold of NORML ( Nat. organ. to Reform Marijuana laws.) This group will have a list of qualified doctors who will obviously be a "marijuana" doctor for lack of a better term...prescribe the pain meds for you.

all pain management has to be urine tested, it's not just the narcotics, I get tested constantly as if I where on probation, and the prescriptions that they give me don't kill the pain.

If you're a chronic pain patient who receives opiates for your pain, then your doctor made you sign the narcotics contract right? This "contract" has nothing to do with a medical condition nor is it detrimental in the treatment of any patient. Rather, it is a promise from you not to use illegal narcotics while on the pain management schedule, including urinalysis to determine if those narcotics have been used. The contract has nothing to do with your health, rather it is to make one feel guilty

We've all heard the saying, "You can tell alot about a society by the way they treat those that they don't have to treat well. I always thought that was talking about prisoners or countries we're at war with. But the truth of the matter is its talking about one's OWN people. America mistreats those that have medical problems, 3000$ a year in drug tests to see a docto and , pain contract signing your rights away. soooo what country must we go to for the most basic of medical human rights??
