I was told there were blueberry bushes on the property when we moved in. Is this one?

  • Wow to me thats a dream to have wild blueberry plants growing in your yard !I could kinda tell by the bell shaped blooms they are blueberries.I realize its been over a year since the video. But i was going to say all you have to do is wait and see what come from the blooms but i am sure you know by now !!What variety are they?Jersey and rubel are a wild variety not hibrids.Rubel is the healthiest of all blueberries but all BB are great for you .Thanks

  • @arkansastrash320 I'm not sure of the variety. Because we live in the country, we also have deer, raccoons and squirrels, not to mention birds. They ate all the berries last year before we could harvest them. I may have to put netting around them to save any for this year.

  • They are blueberries. I can tell by the pine barren look that you live in prime blueberry country. And I can tell by your voice, it's not the New Jersey Pine Barrens.

  • You got that right. I live in NC, near Fayetteville. Didn't you know. I'm a redneck...lol

  • You bet those are Blueberries. If they are native Blues they will vary in flavor. So fine the ones that tast the best!!

  • I have cleaned around more of them now and they are taking off like crazy. I have three that are full of baby blueberries, and more than I can count of the other variety. They are just blooming.

  • Yes, they are wild blueberry bushes. YOu should trim them hard this year to increase both crop yield and berry size.

If you are looking to buy PREMIUM BLUEBERRY PLANTS we invite you to consider DIMEO BLUEBERRY FARMS for retail or wholesale blueberry plants. You can look us up online, or just go to our YouTube profile for more details. We thank you for your consideration.

  • Thanks, I'm really excited about it. It seems there are two varieties. The other has larger, darker, shiney leaves and started blooming about a week after this one.

  • Yes, it is a Blueberry bush. And not just one, I have at least ten good bushes of two different varieties in that mess of a side-yard. I have also found Raspberries, which I have staked up and pruned. In case anyone is interested.

  • I really need to know!
