Look the bottom line is the CCF isn't willing to go the extra mile to help starving children. There it is, I said it. Send your money elsewhere. We miss ya GG.
The CCF actually requested that their promotional material and banner ads not be near or in association with D&D. Through a break down of communication this was misinterpreted as "We wont accept money raised through something we don't indorse." Through a breakdown of communication between the Con and the people it was misinterpreted as "We won't take that filthy devil worshipping D&D money." It's not like the money was offered and denied. The charity was changed months before the convention.
I'm surprised that it sold so cheaply. I think the whole Christian Children's Fund thing was just something that was spread by an angry gamer. Even if that was the reason, it's their right to reject the donation if they want to.
Well ... I would be more concerned about actually helping starving kids instead of upholding some sort of image But anyway, the money will help some people
Eh, but thats public christianity in the the media these days. Its not about the faith, its about face. Atheist myself, but i did see on a church wall. And I completely agree
"Saints don't think less of themselves. They think of themselves less."
Maybe someone should tell the Christians Children Fund.
it's kind of even worse, because they previously accepted the donation from Mr. Gygax himself in the previous years... This year they rejected a "traditional donation"...
