It's been almost 20 years since T2 that we've waited for the future war to look like this. But T4 looked nothing like this at all.
I would've payed $9 to watch this at a theater than that garbage Salvation.
And I don't think James Cameron would care if it's too gruesome for today's squeamish audience. He wouldn't let this get in the way of perfection, he'll probably brush it off just like how he ignored all the controversy and crap about Avatar being "racist".

@deathknot09 None of the four movies were in the original timeline. Kyle came from the original timeline into the new timeline which was in the first terminator. Which caused the second timeline, which Terminator Salvation, Terminator 2, and Terminator 3 are all part of.

Yeah I noticed that too. All the future scenes from T1, T2, and T3 take place at night. But in case you didn't notice the year the future takes place is 2029. The one in Terminator Salvation took place in 2018 both morning and night. This is just my theory, but maybe the Earth's atmosphere has gotten worse after Terminator Salvation. Maybe that's why it looks so dark and kinda smoky in the year 2029.

Remember what Kyle Reese said "during the day you have to stay inside. At night you can move around, but you have to watch out for HK's, John taught us how to dust them, easy" thats why its at night.
