Have you ever heard of Peak Oil? You cannot blame Oil Companies aobut high gas prices. Productions is struggling to keep up the pace but the demand is still high. Possible recession in the US and Europe will not drop the gas prices anymore, because China and India are becoming major oil consumers. My advice to you is to buy a fuel efficient car and buy more local stuff.
