  • First two climbers look really good....just practice looking up while climbing..last guy i was going to say he isnt going to make it...but looks like hes mabye into his first week in freeclimbing...hes stepping down....he needs to drop into it..which one are you?

  • I'm not on this video...You can see me on the video "linemen climb"

This video is of us in single phase school 2 years ago. We all have now been Linemen for 12 months.

  • Safety is different where ever you go. Watch my vids of me climbing... 100% tie off at all times. On the way up and down i use jelco pole strap so I cant fall!

  • I prefer to free climb

  • i prefer to free climb if ya cant climb without a jelco ya pry arent that good of a climber no confidence in yourself or your equipment

  • Im graduating highschool this year and going to a high voltage lineman course at OSU in Oklahoma. Is learning to climb poles hard and could you guys give me any pointers that i could use to my advantage before i go to school next year? The top 10 in class get to choose where they do their internship and i want to be one of the top guys! Thanks!

  • We HAD to learn free climbing, we didn't have choice in the matter. Our old union guys made us go up and down with the strap on our side, and a buck squeeze, ha, we didn't even know what that was 'till the end of training! We did have safety harnesses on. Going up free climbing does build your confidence. Although we learned free handed, I still prefer to use my strap, 'cause I really do love myself.

  • @ekiumy yea i feel the same way about it, it is a hassle to use but company policy is that we have to use it. so something that u gotta get used to

  • you boys are crazy

  • @bluepits24 freeclimbing is an art! if u dont like it dont do it! i try the bucksqueeze and i personally didnt like it! dont get me wrong i see your point! it sure helps a lot when you cut out! but the adrenaline its there no more!BUT IF THE COMPANY REQUIRES THAT I USE IT I SURE WILL! BE SAFE OUT THERE BRO!

  • No caps on the pole tops? Has anyone overclimbed one yet?

  • i was taught to free climb up but I come down with my safety......

  • You work for a bad company not buying Buck squeez's for there climbers

  • @lwhite79 bro safety is the way to go. Thousands of experts with all the practice in the world have died while doing whatever it is that they are considered experts at. Safety is key
