http://www.xraylistening.com If you've learned some Clean Language but haven't yet found a way to apply it - maybe you think it sounds too weird - here's how to get started today.
Featuring X-Ray Listener Judy Rees, co-author of Clean Language: Revealing Metaphors and Opening Minds

Transcript:

Hello, my name's Judy Rees and I'm the co-author of the book "Clean Language". In this video, I want to share with you how to get started using Clean Language in ordinary business conversations.

Now, the fact that you're watching this means you probably already know how Clean Language is a really powerful technique used in coaching and therapy to resolve quite major therapeutic issues quickly, safely and easily. You might have seen demonstration videos of that kind of thing, and thought "Ohh, that sounds a bit weird, how could I possibly use that in conversation?"

Well, the thing is to understand that Clean Language is an incredibly flexible tool which can be used in a very wide range of different contexts, and to know which bits to choose to focus on to get started.

For example, you probably know that there are twelve basic Clean Language questions mentioned in the book. You only need two of them to get started - the ones I've nicknamed the 2 Lazy Jedi questions.

The fundamental principles of Clean Language are incredibly simple. Listen to what the other person says, ask Clean Language questions about it, listen to the answers, ask more Clean Language questions.

There's no shazam magic tricks involved. It's about listening, questioning, listening, questioning and discovering just how amazing people really are once you listen to what they're actually saying and notice what they're doing with their bodies.

So, to get started in using Clean Language in conversation, use just one of those 2 Lazy Jedi questions. "What kind of X is that X?"

So if they say, "I need a new computer system." You say, "What kind of computer system?" You use their exact words.

You don't say, "What kind of hardware and software will you need?" You use their exact words.

Now, the other piece you can use in business is to pay attention to the metaphors they use. So if they say, "I want the new computer system to be like a village shop." for example, you can ask them what kind of shop and you can find out more about what they would like.

So, you only need to ask one question or two questions and you'll find out a whole lot more information. By using their words you'll develop increased rapport with them, they'll feel that you really understand them, and you'll be just getting started to use the power of Clean Language in business.

Now there's loads more you can do, but the key is to begin. Begin today.

What's the next opportunity that you will have to listen to somebody's exact words and respond by asking them a question? What kind of X is that X? I would love to hear for it goes for you, just comment in the comment section below. I'll look forward to hearing from you!

    "u just got no imagination"

That is your problem, it's ALL in your imagination, not in any objective reality.

  • @RetSquid i am self governing...i have a permanent population, and a defined territory, and a government and capacity to enter into relations with other states...u just got no imagination, period!

  • @colocolopity

You must have missed the part about NON-self-Governing...besides the fact that you are already in a country and under it's jurisdiction.

You only have one (a) of the four things needed to be a State. "(a) a permanent population; (b) a defined territory; (c) government; and (d) capacity to enter into relations with the other states."

  • @RetSquid why wudn't i, i fulfill all the criteria of a nation state as per the definition accepted as the official requirement of such stated in the monte video convention...you put too much faith in illusions, and fail to read the authoritative books on law.

  • @colocolopity

You are claiming to be in a non-self-governing territory?

  • @RetSquid yes it does, Article 73 of the UN ChaRTER SAYS SO, AND I'M IN AGREEMENT WITH IT

  • @colocolopity

You are delusional. Your lies are not enlightenment, you are subject to the same laws/statutes/codes and regulations as every other person/individual/Citizen. Claiming otherwise does not make it so.

  • @RetSquid u think in the box, i think out of the box, never the twain shall meet, u shall always be subject to statutes, codes, regulations of the corporate empire, and i'll be a sovereign, self-goeverning territory, in accordance with the UN Charter...u can thanks me for enlightening u, when u realise that u need to =]
